#OnObamasPlate: No meeting with Jobs Council because ‘a lot on his plate’!/somethingfishie/status/225965213286019072

That’s right. President Obama’s “laser-like focus” on jobs doesn’t include, you know, a Jobs Council meeting.

Romney: In the last six months Obama has held 100 fundraisers. Guess how many meetings he has had with his JOBS COUNCIL? None. Zero. #fail

— Pam Besteder (@pambesteder) July 19, 2012

Why? Well, according to Press Secretary Carney, Obama has “a lot on his plate.” Jobs Shmobs! He has fundraisers to attend and links to hit. And we guess that pesky waffle is still not finished so that it can be cleared off of his plate.

Citizens decided to reveal what is really on Obama’s plate.

This Family Was Playing A Board Game, But What Happened Next Made Everyone Scream

Game night with my family was always one of my favorite things growing up.

I’ve definitely made time to continue the tradition into adulthood. I love getting together with my friends to play new and hilarious games because it’s a great time to bond and laugh together. You can learn so much about a person by taking the time to play a game with them!

One game called Speak Out is taking the world by storm. It involves using a funny mouthpiece to make it difficult to say a phrase on a card.

Your partners then have to guess what exactly you’re trying to say. It’s totally hilarious, and people are posting amazing videos of the family fun.

Michelle Malkin points out how leftist media propagates falsehoods; Haters attack!/michellemalkin/status/296719636144222208

As our readers are well aware, Twitchy has extensively documented the lengths to which the leftist media will go to to propagate false narratives in order to damage conservatives. And, when called out, very few of them have the moral fortitude to own up to their mistakes. Twitchy CEO Michelle Malkin took to Twitter this afternoon to illustrate that very point:

When we make an error about Baltimore County vs. Baltimore City, it’s grounds for journalistic malpractice…

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) January 30, 2013

We did indeed make a mistake — and we took responsibility for it:

Our story about the Baltimore County police chief’s comments contained errors. Corrected version has been posted ==>…

— TwitchyTeam (@TwitchyTeam) January 30, 2013

The same cannot be said of many in the liberal media:

When WaPo, Atlantic, Buzzfeed, Business Insider, Christiane Amanpour & tons of liberal Twitter users spread wrong facts, it’s nothingburger.

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) January 30, 2013

Just watch it, tweeps. Watch us get attacked as mean, ideological, vicious & petty. For what? Pointing out a material error.

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) January 30, 2013

Yes, we all make mistakes. Some matter more materially than others.

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) January 30, 2013

The Giffords “handwritten” gaffe was a material error because of emotional bearing on public police and political debate.

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) January 30, 2013

Exactly. The engineered frenzy over Giffords’ statement on gun control — which was in fact written by Giffords’ speech therapist — was designed to provoke emotional reactions.

Just keep watching, friends. We will pay the sins for demonstrating obvious journo double standards==>…

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) January 30, 2013

And that payment came in the form of mud-slinging from lefties, outraged that anyone would dare hold their precious media accountable:

Mean, ideological, vicious & petty. @michellemalkin #justablogger

— Benjamin Henning (@Ben_Henning) January 30, 2013

— Janice Cane (@JaniceCane) January 30, 2013

@michellemalkin You mean cherry-pick some asshole with seven followers as representatives of the Liberal Media Establishment Conpiracy(TM).

— Grant (@NotSoNiceville) January 30, 2013

No. These so-called “cherry-picked” members of the liberal media aren’t random no-names; they’re prominent voices for the political left. Award-winning journalists and media mavens with hundreds of thousands of viewers and readers. Not only is it disingenuous to downplay their reach and their impact on public perception, but it’s downright insulting to those of us who have to sift through their garbage every day just to uncover some semblance of the truth.

Responses: “Who cares?” “You’re a bitch!” “You’re not journalists.” “You’re a hater.” Irrational and embarrassing.

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) January 30, 2013

.@dfreshy975 @dottiebowman Where was I mocking the note?! This was about the media. Why do you have to personalize it? I didn’t.

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) January 30, 2013

Among those who spread Giffords/”handwritten” note story: @mckaycoppins @buzzfeed @businessinsider @camanpour @theatlantic @pourmecoffee

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) January 30, 2013

Some of you miss the point. It’s not about Giffords. It’s about media spreading faulty claim that she wrote it herself to play on emotions.

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) January 30, 2013

Look at libs mocking. If you talk about practice of journalism, they mock you with jibes about Pulitzers and deride your lack of credentials

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) January 30, 2013

One of the fundamental battles of conservatives in media: Credentialing. Who is a journalist? Only Left thinks it can define, determine.

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) January 30, 2013

What newspaper did Rachel Maddow work for? Chris Matthews? George Stephanopoulous?

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) January 30, 2013

Or look at this guy: Tim Pool. Documentarian of Occupy mvmt. Hailed by Left as “guerrilla journalist of digital age”…

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) January 30, 2013

But grassroots citizen journos who filmed Tea Party mvmt in its infancy? Who will praise them as “guerilla journalists of the digital age?”

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) January 30, 2013

NYT columnists/edwriters call themselves “journalists.” But a conservative ed writer/columnist w/20plus yrs in the biz? #justablogger

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) January 30, 2013

Let them pour their derision on truth-seekers for being “just bloggers.” In the end, the Left is only exposing itself as a haven for colossal frauds.

This is why Twitter is valuable, conservatives. U can amplify/expose worst lib dbl standards & dishonesty in real time. Journos can’t ignore

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) January 30, 2013

We won’t let them.

This post wasn’t written specifically with Christiane Amanpour in mind, but it very well could have been. The ABC and CNN Global Affairs anchor was among those who breathlessly tweeted out a photo of what was supposedly Gabby Giffords’ handwritten testimony.!/camanpour/status/296697284186472448

When informed that Giffords did not in fact write it herself, Amanpour did what any self-respecting journalist of integrity would do:

You know what @camanpour did when we pointed out her tweet spreading false Giffords’ handwritten meme? She…wait for it…deleted her tweet

— Michelle Malkin (@michellemalkin) January 30, 2013

We’d call it unbelievable, except this sort of cowardice is exactly what we’ve come to expect from the liberal media.

.@camanpour Just curious: When you delete a factually-incorrect tweet, do you post a retraction?…

— TwitchyTeam (@TwitchyTeam) January 30, 2013

18 Of The Creepiest Statues Ever Built (Probably To Scare Passersby)

For centuries, statues have been crafted by humans to depict our reality…and also to distort it. Even one of the oldest known sculptures, the Löwenmensch figurine or “Lion-Man,” believed to be around 30,000-40,000 years old, doesn’t depict any real person; rather, it’s a zoomorphic being with the body of a human and the head of a lion.

Because of this longstanding history, you’d think we’d be used to abstract statues by now. However, as these creepy pieces from around the world prove, the form can still pull the metaphorical rug from under our reality.

1. What’s up, Doc?

2. If this were outside my office, I’d keep the blinds shut at all times.

3. “Now cough.”

4. Those eyes will forever haunt me.

5. “Welcome to Hell!” –The horse at the Denver airport

var OX_ads = OX_ads || []; OX_ads.push({ slot_id: “537251602_571052d892cb0”, auid: “537251602” });

6. This statue perfectly captures my mood whenever I go Christmas shopping.

7. This is what you get for calling bulls@#t.

8. This statue was sculpted to commemorate the great Chicken War. Colonel Sanders was so brave that day.

9. When it’s your turn to put the kids to sleep.

10. Is this Greek mythology’s take on John F. Kennedy?

var OX_ads = OX_ads || []; OX_ads.push({ slot_id: “537251604_571052d892e8b”, auid: “537251604” });

11. Maybe ease up on that paleo diet, buddy…

12. Even Hell monsters enjoy time down by the water.

Thankfully, this was dismantled.

13. The weirdest thing about this naked LEGO woman is that it was built in the middle of the desert.

14. This statue’s creativity is matched only by the amount of diseases it probably carries.

15. Okay, we get it, New Zealand. Your country is filled with nerds.

16. How…how is this even possible?

17. The line for the new iPhone be like…

18. Why yes…you’d be correct in assuming that these statues have actual human teeth in their mouths.

It’s all fun and games until through some kind of dark spell, these creepy statues come to life and attack us. Why can’t anyone make statues of adorable things ever?

People Are Stumped About This Mysterious Creature That Was Spotted In Alaska

On Wednesday, October 26, an employee of the Bureau of Land Management in Alaska spotted a mysterious creature in the Chena River.

The Chena River is about 100 miles long and runs through the city of Fairbanks. It’s teeming with all sorts of wild and wonderful creatures, but residents say they’ve never seen anything like what this guy caught on camera. He was investigating the ice when something odd began swimming toward him.

At first, it appears to be a bit of driftwood…but then it starts moving.
